“Once you get to bike through the beautiful tree lined streets of the garden and have a picnic
overlooking the fountain and the palace, you will likely have a "moment" as I did and
think to yourself that life doesn't get much better.”

Join the Versailles Bike Tour.

Upon arrival in the town of Versailles, we will ride to the famous city market to shop for our picnic supplies (cost not included). Then, we'll cruise through the Chateau's enormous grounds along a network of fantastic trails and tree-lined paths to visit Marie Antoinette's Hamlet and both the Petit & Grand Trianons. Next, it's on to our picnic at the end of the Grand Canal where we'll settle down for a royal feast.

After lunch, we'll continue through the grounds and enter the chambers of the Chateau itself. Our bike tour offers you skip-the-line access to the Chateau to avoid the tremendously long lines. See the room where Marie Antionette's guards were killed as they protected her from the mob at the beginning of the Revolution. Walk through the breathtaking Hall of Mirrors where King Louis greeted guests, and centuries later the Treaty of Versailles was signed to end World War I. Ride with us and you will explore exponentially more of the 2,000+ acres of royal property than you would ever be able to see on your own.

Versailles Bike Tour Reviews

Versailles Bike Tour is rated 4.8403 out of 5 by 814.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epic day in Versailles We met our tour group in Paris and caught the train to Versailles together (all tickets were included in tour price). Our guide, Nate, was fantastic and very knowledgeable. On arrival in Versailles we collected our bikes and went to the local market to buy food for a picnic. The markets were an amazing authentic experience of a more rural French culture. The tour then takes you around the grounds of the palace estate with lots of stops along the way, including one to eat all the food and drink all the wine you bought at the markets. At the end of the tour we were given tockets to enter the palace and explore which is where the tour ends. Fantastic tour and one of the highlights of our trip to Europe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best day of vacation! What a perfect way to visit Versailles! We saw way more than we ever could have done walking and learned so much from our guide Val. The Sunday morning visit to the market to shop for lunch added to the entire experience, and delicious as well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versailles Bike Tour - great time! We took this tour after a friend recommended it as the highlight of their Paris visit. We could not agree more. We went on this wonderful tour last week and just loved it. Nicole was our tour guide and she was just great - engaging, interesting, and informative. The bicycling route is almost all flat and at a very easy pace, no need to be a great bicyclist to enjoy this tour. The picnic by the grand canal was so nice. Cannot recommend this enough.
