How did you pick the Paris Day Bike Tour?
We chose the Paris Day Bike Tour because most of us were first timers to Paris and we thought it would be a great way to get an overview of the whole city. We were right. It really helped us get our bearings on the whole city and see which things we wanted to spend more time at later.
Anything stand out about Fat Tire Tours?
Since we had three kids with us, the fact that Fat Tire Tours are so kid friendly was awesome for us. It allowed us to bring them along and still enjoy the tour as adults.
The good stuff: Tell us about your kids’ reactions to being on two wheels around the city.
Our kids loved it! Especially our 6-year-old. We had been dragging them around the city for a few days so once we buckled them in a gave them a few snacks they were grateful for the break, plus the cool breeze as we rode through all the parks and busy streets. It was so magical and is still brought up as one of our favorite days.
What was most memorable part of all the tour stops?
I truly loved each stop we made but if I had to choose a favorite it would be right outside the Louvre Museum. It was a fun place to take pictures and we just really enjoyed all the history that our tour guide told us about at this point. He knew so much about the whole city and could answer any question we threw at him.
Bottom line: worth it, and why?
I know that paying for any guided tours while on vacation, especially with kids, can seem expensive and out of reach, but I would say that it makes all the difference in your whole trip and makes all the effort you put into getting to Paris worth it. if you do any tour in Paris, a bike tour with Fat Tire Tours is the one to go for! You will not regret it one bit! It was fun, different, educational, and the best way to really make your whole trip worth it.
What’s another activity that you loved while visiting Paris?
One of my favorite things is to walk around the shops and get a Nutella and Banana crepe. We found a really great place near Notre Dame. One tip I have is that the further into a neighborhood the better prices will be and the quality of food goes up too. Don’t just settle for everything right next to the big sites. It’s so fun to sit at a cafe and watch all the tourists and the Parisians go about their days.
