Questions About our Bikes/Biking in Berlin

Do I need to reserve a bike separately?

No – the bike is included with the bike tour, so just bring yourself and we will take care of the rest!

Is this tour appropriate for kids?

Our tours are great options for families and kids are very welcome. We have several types of kids’ bikes, seats, and helmets to make sure everyone of all sizes is comfortable on tour. Please note, we won’t allow kids seats, tag-alongs or chariots with E-bikes.

What if I haven't ridden a bike in a while?

Don’t worry, it’s just like riding a bike!  Our tours move at a very comfortable pace so don’t worry if you are a bit rusty.  If you are worried about being comfortable on the bike, feel free to stop by the shop a bit early and you can take a few practice laps.

What are the requirements for an e-bike?

All e-bike riders must be at least 14 years old. We ask that all guests riding an e-bike are at least 160 cm or 5’3”. Additionally, we won’t allow kids seats, tag-alongs or chariots with e-bikes.

General Tour Questions

Where is the tour meeting point?

This tour meets at our Alexanderplatz shop, located at the base of the giant TV Tower (Fernsehturm). You can find us on the northeast side of the tower between the Alex Café and the entrance to the TV Tower. The address is Panoramastraße 1a, 10178 Berlin.

What do I need to bring with me on tour?

Be sure to bring your camera and bring an extra layer of clothing in case it gets chilly during the tour. There are luggage racks on our bikes so you can easily carry some small items with you.

What happens if it rains?

The tour will still run in case of rain.  We try our best to take cover but sometimes we are exposed to the elements.  We have pocket-sized rain ponchos for sale in our shop and we highly recommend that you purchase one before tour.  If you don’t use it, we will buy it back from you- it’s a bit of a rain insurance policy!

Do we go inside the museums and monuments?

We cannot enter the monuments because German Law restricts museum guides to their authorized officials. Plus, some people would want to spend only ten minutes in the museum while others would prefer 3 hours.

TIP: Should you want to keep your bike longer, and many people do, you get a discount on rental following a tour.  Our staff will be happy to show you exactly how to go back to any sites you would like to explore further or visit the interior.

What is your cancellation policy?

Due to the nature of guide scheduling for private tours, cancellations or rescheduling requests must be done at least 7 days in advance of the activity start time to be eligible for a full refund. Reschedulings are subject to availability and fare difference may apply.
