Where to Eat in Neukolln
Berlin is a BIG city and sometimes it can be a little overwhelming where to start. So many choices, such little time. Where to eat, where to drink, where to sleep and where to party? I have compiled a list of the best places (according to us!) on where to eat and drink once our tours have finished.
Fuchs and Elster
I shouldn’t really be telling you about this place as it is my favourite restaurant in Berlin and I want to keep it secret! Translated as the Fox and the Magpie this bar cum restaurant is cosy to say the least, candle lit wooden tables, little alcoves, live music and delicious Italian food make the atmosphere warm and friendly inside. The menu often only has a couple of choices but all are made with care and to be honest its rare that I even get to the main menu as their tapas menu is so good. Try the Gambas or I often find their risotto is to die for.

Berlin Burger International
Burgers are the ‘in’ thing right now and it seems that every street has a fancy burger joint on it. Reading any food blog in Berlin will direct you, or it should do, to Berlin Burger International. The key to this place is their super fresh ingredients. It also helps that their burgers are HUGE! There is no seating in here and only limited space on the street outside so its best to grab a few beers from the spatkkauf (late shop) and take your burger to a local park. Give your first name when ordering and depending on the line you will be called forward and handed your burger on a silver plate. Enjoy!

Kokolores
This is a recent find for me and I am glad I stumbled across this German/Polish restaurant. Here there is moody Berlin lighting, interesting furniture and a daily changing menu meaning that ingredients are bought locally and fresh. The staff here are friendly and make you feel at home and will help you through their delicious and extensive wine menu to help compliment your meal.
Personally I recommend the Pierogies (filled Eastern European style dumplings) , and the Cucumber soup is always tasty. Be aware that you make get German service. German service= slow service!

Eins 44
Eins 44 is located in a 100 year old hall in a historic art-deco courtyard, decorated with stylish furniture and lighting that gives this restaurant a particular charm. Serving mainly German cuisine with a French influence, the kitchen serves a combination of traditional dishes, as well as more modern flavours.
My favorite dishes are the pork belly burger and the tender beef carpaccio. Dont fill yourself up on the mains however, this restaurant only does 3 desserts, but if you can, you must try all 3!
Price Range: A three course meal costs €33, four courses is €42 and five courses €51. Or you can buy individual courses.
