Here at Fat Tire Berlin it’s no secret that we all love bikes, so we can hardly contain our excitement at the fact that this month there will be a whole week dedicated to bicycles and their relationship with the great city of Berlin. Between the 16th and 22nd of March Berlin Bicycle Week will be hosting many different events, races, talks and get-togethers to celebrate all the special ways people use bicycles in their day to day lives.
During Berlin Bicycle Week the Berliner Fahrradschau (BFS) will be taking place which has been described as the most important event for urban cycling in Europe. It’s a trade fair for promoting urban bike culture through new start-ups as well as the larger well-known brands.
For the German speakers among you there is also going be a Berlin Bicycle Congress to talk about the future of urban cycling and its importance in creating modern, efficient and liveable cities. The talks will cover subjects such as cycling and city tourism and innovative ways to improve cities through cycling, with things like bike sharing and cargo bikes.
