Fisherman’s Wharf
Fisherman’s Wharf
One of the most popular areas in San Francisco for visitors, this scenic and colorful waterfront area boasts many working fishing boats, Dungeness crab and the famous San Francisco sourdough bread at Boudin Bakery. The famous Pier 39 is here, complete with restaurants, souvenir shops and a few hundred sea lions. Lots of the boats docked at Fisherman’s Wharf belong to multi-generation fishermen, descendants of those who made their livelihoods on the Bay from as early back as the California Gold Rush. This bustling waterfront area is host to countless restaurants and offers up fresh seafood by families who have been here for decades.
